In our last update we shared information about the changes we have made to our HCLW Level 4 HSC and CCPLD qualifications. In that update, we encouraged you to contact the City & Guilds Welsh Qualifications team to confirm which assessments your Level 4 CCPLD learners intended to complete and we appreciate customers who have been in touch.
Based on our recent interactions with these customers and feedback, we are amending our initial guidance.
What we need your support to do to ensure a positive experience for your learners
It’s very important that you share the requested information about your learner’s chosen assessment route with our Welsh Qualifications team as soon as possible so that we can ensure that your learner has a positive experience during their external assessment journey.
Please get in touch with our Welsh Qualifications team, if you haven’t already, detailing the preferred assessment route for all incomplete Level 4 CCPLD learners who were registered before September 2024 who have not completed their external assessment component.
This will include learners who have:
(a) Booked their external assessment and will be submitting evidence shortly
(b) Have not booked their assessment, but intend to complete the 405 assessment component
E: WelshQualifications@cityandguilds.com
In addition to the above please add the learner’s assessment preference to the Additional Information box found in the Gateway section on Pro.
Learners who were registered before September 2024 and who wish to complete the 405 component should plan for the external assessment by the end of January 2025. Please do everything you can to support your learners to meet this deadline
We will be able to accommodate mitigating circumstances for learners who are currently inactive however, please ensure that you have updated your learner’s profile on Pro to indicate their current status.
If you are unsure how to update your learner’s profile on Pro please contact us to arrange support by contacting our Digital solutions team.
