Last year we confirmed that from January 2024, the Core qualification will be assessed by MCQ only.
Please refer to the FAQs as they will help both you and your learners:
In preparation for the change to the assessment, we have asked you to ensure that all learners completing the single case study plus MCQ assessment model were ready for certification by 31 December 2023.
If due to extraordinary circumstances, you have not been able to certificate your learners in this cohort by the agreed deadline, please contact HCLW Quality as soon as possible during January 2024.
Please expect to provide evidence that these learners’ assessments occurred before the end of December deadline.

Preparing learners for assessment
Learners will complete the new MCQ at the end of their learning journey so activities to support and confirm their readiness for assessment are even more important.
We have provided sample assessment materials to support this process however these should be used alongside other processes and materials, rather than in isolation.
You can access the ‘Sample Assessment materials’ from the HCLW website and via the link below:
E-volve navigation test
Being able to experience the e-volve platform before completing the MCQ is a vital step to learner success.
We have developed the e-volve navigation test so that learners have the opportunity to understand how to interact with the platform during the test period.
The navigation test will not include any test questions. Its purpose is to help the learner become familiar with the onscreen layout and information shown, and how to use the navigation buttons.
Please retain this link for future use.
The navigation test should not be used as a mock test. A separate online mock test will be available to learners from 1 January 2024.
